Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Thin, with quite a bit of muscle on him. Due to his lack of body fat from malnutrition early on, despite his muscle, he looks quite thin. He is, essentially, all muscle. He's tall-like 180 cms, since he's from the future.
2. How old is he?
I believe I established him as 34. He's been in HQ since June 2010, however, so calculate his age based on that.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He carries himself well. His posture isn't as haughty as other Prussias, though.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Health meters detect no immediate health problems, albinism aside, mental meters also report no problems, though he's prone to rage and rampage at random. He's fit, and takes good care of himself and all of his mods.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Tense. He walks a bit stiffly. Like Germany but slightly more fluid and relaxed. He's not as chill as the other Prussias.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
Depends on who you ask. He'd say he's fairly attractive, though nothing special. He doesn't exactly look 34, he looks quite a bit younger, but people live longer when he's from.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Light. Pale. His left side is a bit shiny and some parts may very dimly light up a little, especially under his eye. Otherwise it's hard to notice that about half of him isn't human, if it's at all possible.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
His hair is silver, grey, in the right light a bit blond. It's pretty straight. In comparison to other Prussias, though his hair is still messy and disorganized, it's neater and more even.
9. What color are his eyes?
His right one is red. The left is also red, however it's bionic and sometimes flashes other colors or turns blue depending on what's happening. Blue is a bad color for his eye to be. Generally it means there are errors. Black means he's asleep, passed out, or that the computer in his head is off. And, of course, errors, or that he's dead.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
His left side is almost entirely robotic, making him a cyborg. However, ti's covered in some sort of fake, skin-like material. As a side effect of this, he can't blush on that side of him. In addition, his arm can turn into various weapons and tools, can light up, and has a spaceage computer in it. However, none of this is really immediately noticable.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
His head. He always gets headaches.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
He can normally be seen in his space suit, which is sort of like a fancier biosuit, but also a lot like a typical future-set manga space suit. When he isn't wearing that, he's usually dressed really simply, but still with a fair amount of concern for his dress. He usually wears fairly futuristic fashions, if he's not wearing more modern things, rather plain but still sort of dressy--think a t-shirt and a blazer or something like that. But he also does dress a fair amount like a normal Prussia, but he's still pretty distinguishable from them, as similar as it can get.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
Yep! He rarely looks completely comfortable, but that has nothing to do with his clothes.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Boxers or boxerbriefs.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
His voice is almost hollow. He sounds rather cold when he speaks, and often almost monotone. His tone tends to be more serious but still maintains much of the Prussian arrogance. His voice could sound pretty soothing if he wanted to comfort someone and didn't get very loud. And, as he is a Prussia, he can get very loud. He often sounds the proper, Prussian arrogance when loud. And quite angry.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
Evenly, not the usual volume Prussias tend to speak at, but he's not quiet or average, justa bit over average, volume-wise. I think he pauses a little bit before he speaks and sometimes while speaking? But he speaks pretty easily otherwise. It's not so much hesitation as contemplation.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
A bit of a German accent. It probably sounds rather unlocatable or hard to, sicne the accent may have changed by then.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
English, German, Binary, 1337, coding languages, fluent, knows a few other languages, but not fluently.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Sometimes he speaks in binary to Internet or Core, German to others, otherwise he sticks with English.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He prefers thinking first.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He can be pretty inarticulate. When he gets excited(and mroe Prussia-like) he's usually more straight-forward.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
He's a bit of a smartass and pretty smart to boot. He's got both, but seems to use his book-knowledge more.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
He can think fairly quickly. It doens't due to dawdle in many situations, though sometimes he does just to be sure of himself.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Logical and practical. He tends to think of what will work and how well it'll work, who it'll affect and how, and how long it'll take.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
Colledge education. He went for electonics and engineering.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Anythign electronic and engineering related he could probably do just fine. He's also pretty smart when it comes to astronomy, and a fighter, so he's smart when it comes to weapons and strategy, too.
He'd like to know mroe about nature, animals, natural things. All that time away from proper nature made him treasure it better.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
Introvert. He keeps to himself a lot. He needs to get out a bit more.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
MOODSWINGS. He's kind of a melancholy guy, generally seeming rather bored with the world and people. However he's a bit short-tempered, and tends to snap at people a fair amount. He's usually quite driven. Relaxing is a little out of the question for him, as he tends to be a bit high-strung.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
He's relaxed when it comes to people, or he at leats maintains his composure very well. for the most part. Situations are variable, but he's generally curious when it comes to new situations.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Act
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Fight
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
He seems like a humorless person. Really, he just takes things too seriously. If you gave him a joke at the right time, or at least gave him the right joke, he'd laugh, or at least smile, smirk, or tell you you're funny(it may be sarcasm, though, so watch out!)
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Not that I'm aware of? Maybe I'll look into it and get back to this.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
Probably getting mods, getting illegal mods, getting caught and trained with them by the Government, Earth's becoming inhabitable, and his 14 years in Module 5/Space. He doesn't have any distinguishing childhood moments, really.
14. What does he fear?
Being alone, having nothing to do, abandoment, feeling useless, never seeing his family in any form again(while he hasn't actively sought any of their counterparts out in HQ yet, he knows at least some of them are present, so he's comforted a little by the fact that he could run into any of them eventually.)
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
Location and settlement of a livable, Earth-like world; reuniting with his family(or at least letting them know he's okay); reuniting with his friends, maybe; being useful
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
He tends to feel useless when he's not taking orders/doing something productive, he's lonely, he's actually fairly fond of Internet, he had/has a crush on his Hungary.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
He was an average child and they didn't hate one another. His only problem was that he got into a lot of fights growing up. But he won most of them, so they were more proud than they were angry. His father was disappointed in his getting illegal weapon modifications, but was proud when the governments took him in for training, though his mother worried a little, but was proud nonetheless. Generally, they have a fairly good opinion of him.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
I'll add the relationships later.
Ludwig--Positive to positive-neutral. They were fond of each other, had their spats like siblings do, found each other annoying or looked at their negative qualities more often than not, it seemed, but were generally fond of one another and happy with the other as a sibling. Ludwig looked up to him for a while and he was jealous of Ludwig for a while and probably still is.
Vash--Neutral. They didn't really trust one another, but weren't exactly hateful of each other or anything.
Roderich--Not a good relationship. At each other's throats a lot. Pretty much hated each other.
Lilli--Doesn't know her yet. Has only heard things, seen pictures, stuff like that.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
Roderich may actually be his cousin or half brother or something. But they were family either way. Couldn't stand him much.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
--
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Was: Elisabet: His childhood best friend and someone he met repeatedly through his life in an almost random fashion, until college where it became more constant. Though best friends, they fought a lot. But it was simply how they were, as they were boys. Or she believed herself to be a boy, so boys were boys. He got a crush on her very early on, but she hated him as he was rather persistant and annoying and cruel, making fun of her and her problems and difficulties, though it was simply his boyish means of showing affection.
Antonio. They met at school. Rather, Gilbert was on a school trip to Spain, strayed from the group a lot, got lost, and met a chill and helpful native, Antonio, who took him to cool places, told him cool things, and took a lot of naps with him. They eventually became penpals(that is, they sent each other emails, as this is the future, and no one really writes letters anymore) and met and stayed in touch even as they got older. They even met in France one day and met. . .
Francis: They met while Antonio and Gilbert met in Paris. Or they were trying to meet one another. As in the present, Paris' streets are impossible to navigate unless you've lived there all your life. So, of course, while trying to find one another they were lost. Which is when Antonio ran into Francis. Francis helped him find Gilbert, and then showed them places they could hang out and ended up tagging along(even though Gilbert mentally protested this, wanting to be alone with Antonio, as he suggested Paris because it was. Fucking Paris.) and they ended up a trio. Because there was at least mild disruption or mischief and the like wherever they decided to hang out, they got the name "mauvaise compagnie" which Francis informed them was French for "Bad Company" which they eventually decided to make "Bad Friends". A fairly accurate name, as they were rather bad children and, while loving each other in a brotherly way and being the best of friends, Francis hated Antonio who also hated Francis back; Francis hated Gilbert and Gilbert hated Francis. They were the best of friends, and the worst of friends.
Is: Internet: PREU was awoken by Internet when he arrived in HQ, and ended up hanging around him since then. He tends to treat Internet almost childishly, taking care of him, cleaning things for him, and bringing him food since he's hardly able to care for himself, earning him the derrogatory nickname "meido" for some time. Internet heavily annoys and agitates PREU, but he's very fond of him and his liveliness as well, as he does miss being that way a little. He never shows this, as his agitation dominates any other feelings. He has tortured him, of course, a little bit, showing his sadistic side through injury and modifications he didn't ask for, such as the port in the back of his head. He continues to hang out with Internet both out of affection and a need to have a someone whom he can care for or take orders from.
Back home he considers himself to have no friends, though he's rather close to Raivis, who works in 5M/on SOVI.
6. Does he have other close friends?
Death and Core who should probably go under Best Friends but I'm too lazy to write up his relationship with them considering it's not especially detailed, or at least it's a little hard to detail somehow.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
He has some trouble getting along with people. Or, maybe he just has problems with actually socializing.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Family. Even though he hasn't actively sought them out yet/sought to get close to his family's counterparts, he considers them most important in the end.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Single.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
No.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
Elisabet.
Internet?
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
Somehow, in my head he once said "I like women and people who will act like women for me." I'd say that, but it doesn't seem to be so. He doesn't exactly look for romantic partners. They just happen. He's not really picky, though he seems to be getting straighter and straighter somehow. . .not that this is an issue. It's just a little odd.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
No and he doens't really think much about it.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Ivan: As is natural, he hates all Russias. Ivan is apart of Module 5 and the captain of SOVI and is a scientist working on him, keeping his mods and computer in check. He helps with his training, like all of Module 5's scientists. He's particularly cruel with his workings, in a childlish way. He likely doens't understand how harsh he's being, and PREU understands that, but it doesn't make him resent him any less.
Roderich: He's happily unaware of Roderich's present status(though he's likely alive) and continues to hope that he's--not dead, but not doing well, perhaps. Uncomfortable. Perhaps somewhere with sea creatures. Though he doubts there is such a place in space at the moment that isn't a zoo, but he can dream.
Feliks and Toris: More of Module 5!
Elisabet: Surprisingly not part of Module 5. They had a falling out at some point, though they're both secretly still quite fond of one another, but haven't seen each other for a very long while. They find one another annoying and tend to hate each other a bit, but Gilbert is actually still crushing on her at this point.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Heteromantic Bisexual?
He's probably a 2? He seems to be getting straighter, so his romatic feelings may fall under women, but sexual ones mostly under men. We'll see. I mostly think of him as a 3.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
Sex only comes to mind so often. It's not that important to him. He probably casually fucks with Internat a lot. It's just something that happens. He doesn't have much of an opinion on it at the moment.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
Probably none in particular? He's probably not too fond of a lot of noise/talking in bed. . . .
Really, we discussed why he was so unprone to Internet's sexual advances, and I said he's likely got a lock on his sexual mental cores. They can't be accessed so easily, without a password or entrance key of some sort. He's probably sexually capable, yes, but he's pretty in control of it. Something like that.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
Based on this, he'd be a wood monkey in Chinese zodiac. He's a Capricorn. (Bold is definite, italics is slight.)
Monkey: (Yang, 1st Trine, Fixed Element Metal): Inventor, motivator, improviser, quick-witted, inquisitive, flexible, innovative, problem solver, self-assured, sociable, artistic, polite, dignified, competitive, objective, factual, intellectual. Can be egotistical, vain, arrogant, selfish, reckless, snobbish, deceptive, manipulative, cunning, jealous, suspicious.
Capricorn: Good organizational skills, Neat & tidy, Practical, Realistic, Strong work ethic, Materialistic tendencies, Conventional, Respects authority, Egotism, Cruel taskmaster, Servility, Excessive perfectionism
Likes: Simple food, Antiques, History, Responsibility, Not being pressured, Unconditional love. Privacy, Elitism, Family
Dislikes: Untidiness, Disorder, Being teased, Familiarity, Surprises, New ideas & paths, Loneliness, Being useless, Public embarrasment
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
neither. He highly values science over religeous or spiritual stuff.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Not that I'm aware of? Then again, I never really understand this question. . . .
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Tolerant-indifferent, unless they're ridiculous(with the excpetion of religion, as he knows they sound ridiculous, and regards that as a different matter.) Then he's sort of judging, criticizing, and such.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
He doens't like Roderich, Ivan, Feliks, or Toris, right off the bat, usually. His reasons aren't that great, especially in comparison to countries' or anything.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Questionable. Module 5 is or was likely government funded. He, personally, is probably of at least average wealth.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
Uh. Well, he was a troublemaking child a first, who got into lots of fights. But he sort of had his wits about him. He won most of his fights.
He was your average college student I guess. He started getting mods about now--complex weapons that he had to buy off the street by clearly illegal means, but whatever it would take to protect his precious people, y'know? Besides, why should he care about the law? They have bigger people to track down.
Functioning member of society time, yeaaaah. He kept causing trouble now that he could do whatever he wanted and be an adult and stuff. More mods, but at this point he was making and putting them on himself. Sometime during this time he was busted for using the weapon mods. However he'd gotten/made such complicated and powerful mods he was really powerful and useful. . .and he had such a loyal personality. . .the governments had to take advantage of that.
The only thing anyone knew was "Gilbert's going to go work for the government." Except for PREU, who knew he would get better quality mods and some awesome training. About here he recieved the name "Project P.R.E.U." The 5M would come later, when he was put under a specific portion of the agency for training. He recieved his brainputer mod just before recieving his name. He recieved G.I.L.-bird sometime between the rename and the 5M-addition. All of the training had his personality changing.
At a later point he had to, for the most part, cut off ties with anyone outside the agency. They assured him this was temporary--once he was stable as possible and well-trained and modded he'd be able to resume normal communications.
The world went to hell and needed to be evacuated. Massive confusion amongst the modules and other UN agencies and things which led to a lot of general confusion and fuckery in space.
By now PREU is pretty much an enigma to anyone outside of Module 5 and whoever Module 5 reports to.
So he's. . .not really known? Doesn't have a social satus?
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
In HQ he has his own room which is a sort of space-station-looking apartment of sorts. Or, rather, it looks like a space-age laboratory or something, with a living area on the upper level. he shares it with a bunch of his robots, his computer, and G.I.L.-bird, and it's his castle. It's clean an fancy and he rarely shares it with others, but when he does it's pretty much just Internet sleeping over.
Back home he lives in the space station for Module 5 called SOVI, separated from most of the rest of civilization. It's a super-organized, really nice space station. And he, of course, shares it wit quite a few scientists and people.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Whatever suits his fancy. Snacks, clothes, toys, games, whatever interests him at the time. He did this much more often before the whole earth evacuation thing.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
He's a human war machine in training, a scientist, and an engineer. He's good at it and he enjoys it a lot! Much more than he lets on.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
He likes technology and antiques(modern items, really, but not for him) and nature, and is more interested in things than he lets on(unless they're people, to which he has little interest most of the time.) He can often be found touching, taking apart, examining, or taking modern or pre-modern object and technologies and reading about them or figuring out how they work or making them more efficient and stuff. He also likes to read a lot. As much as he loves nature, he doens't spend much time outside. He really wants to spend much more time outside, but he can never find himself doing so. Along with studying technologies of what he considers old and reading history books, he does lots of internet and computer stuff, makes robots and other things, and just is curious about things around him.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
He's so used to not eating a lot, that he doesn't eat very much. He often skips meals because his mind is elsewhere and he has his computer adjust his body's reactions and things of that nature to tell his stomach to shut up and not feel empty for a while. Of course, this isn't a substitute for food, and he'll eventually eat. He drinks a fair amount.
